Second week of life drawing. The model was so skinny! Pretty challenging since I draw more in a curvy way usually. Well, let’s keep practicing!

Ce blog est aussi posté sur Illustrophile et Sketchmotel et est en lien sur mon site et depuis ce temps là je suis un peu gênée et je ne sais plus quoi écrire. Mais je vais essayer de parler plus à l'avenir.

Je suis assez contente des couleurs et des personnages de cette image. J'aurais aimé avoir un peu plus de temps pour mettre plus de détails, textures, ombres et lumières. Mais je devrais juste travailler plus vite :)

Pretty happy with the colors and characters on this one. I would have needed a bit more time to add more details, lights and shadings, and texture. But I should just work faster :)

Illustration for a science experiment to know when cream starts to freeze and if adding salt has an effect on the temperature. The final is for Monday so another weekend working but then I got 3 days of free time :)

Je vais passer à la couleur dans un mois. En attendant, un deadline pour lundi et un autre pour mardi! Toujours tout en même temps les deadlines.. Le dessin pour lundi c'est une scène de piscine en folie avec plein de monde etc.

La première image n'aura pas le furet en silhouette mais je l'aimais bien. Au début de l'histoire la fille raconte que le furet de la classe qu'elle gardait pour la fin de semaine, a mangé son chien. Mais en fait elle l'a perdu et c'est le chien qui le retrouve.

The first image won't have the ferret silhouette but I liked it. In the story the girl says that her dog ate the ferret. But in fact she lost it and the dog finds it.

On peut se demander ce que j'ai fait cet été. Je n'ai presque rien posté sur le blog, je n'ai rien écrit mais en fait j'ai travaillé comme une folle. Au moins une centaine d'images pour des livres d'apprentissage de l'anglais destinés à des enfants du moyen orient. Une centaine!! J'ai dû changer un peu ma manière de travailler pour y arriver (les lignes sont faites avec une seule couleur et je colorais en dessous).

J'ai une autre histoire à faire pour eux mais c'est une fiction: "Dad's Fun Run" ça devrait être drôle.

I did about a hundred images for an English learning textbook for Oxford University. I changed my technique a bit for this project, due to the amount of work involved, so the lines are in one color only. I have another project with them but it is a fiction, it should be fun :)

Le directeur artistique avait une idée bien précise de ce qu'il voulait alors pas trop de travail côté concept.

Bon une image ensoleillée!
Un problème que j'ai eu avec celle là c'est que le sable est une sorte de beige et ça s'approche de la couleur de la peau. D'habitude j'essaie d'avoir une couleur de fond qui contraste assez avec la peau mais dans ce cas-ci c'était plus difficile.

Travail gigantissime! Je suis assez limitée côté créativité sur ce contrat, il y a beaucoup de contraintes (c'est pour le moyen-orient alors tout le monde en manches longues, vêtements amples etc) je ne peu pas trop exagérer les formes et les personnages, et les descriptions des images sont très précises. Voilà quelques exemples de sketchs à date, ceux que j'aime le plus.
